Happy Valley Hats was founded in June 2007. We are a small group of Volunteer-Hat-Makers who crochet, knit, and sew hats for cancer patients free of charge. We are a satellite group of Head Huggers, a national group who provides hats to patients suffering from hair loss due to chemotherapy, illnesses, and injuries.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide comfortable hats to cancer patients locally in State College, throughout Pennsylvania, across the country, and when requested, to private individuals.
Why?
A frequent side effect of chemotherapy is hair loss. Happy Valley Hats provides hats for warmth, comfort, and dignity.
